The lube is wax-based, the type I've usually preferred since discovering Squirt a few years back. Wax-based lubes provide longer-lasting lubrication than light oils since evaporation is limited, and also pick up less gunk in dusty or sandy conditions. Long-term use of wax does lead to some residual build-up, but it cleans quickly with a spray of Simple Green and water.
What I like best about Joe's lube products is the bottle design, making it easy to hold the lube steady while turning the chain, thus avoiding spills.
The sealant (in only one usage so far) seems to work well. One complaint...as nicely designed as the lube bottle is, the sealant bottle pour spout is a fail. The tiny little nozzle only allows individual drips out, not enough to get any meaningful quantity in through the valve stem. Try drilling out the pour hole a bit to make it flow more smoothly.
Update: 2 days out and the tire is holding air just fine.
